Welcome to So Long London, our new travel blog for family and friends
It’s a pretty exciting time for us… we’re going on the trip of a lifetime around Asia for SIX MONTHS! We may have told you about a million times in the last few months; sorry about that.
Some of you may have read our blogs from (much shorter) travels past. You will notice that in honour of this exciting trip, I have combined all previous blogs on to this snazzy website, made with my very own hands. The list of destinations below will lead you to many rambling pages of adventurous activities, mild mishaps and some fairly nice pictures – if I do say so myself!
If you want to follow this blog, the very best way is to fill out the subscribe form below, and check your spam to verify your email address. Then, you’ll get email notifications every time we post. Yes, you heard right: we will be posting, meaning Billie will be penning blogs too this time. If that isn’t a reason to subscribe, I don’t know what is.

So, what’s the plan this time? Well, we’re going to start proceedings in Kerala, India, and our first month is pretty well booked in. By early February we’ll have lazed on a beach, canoed down backwaters, climbed hills of the Western Ghats, safari’d in tiger country, delved into temples old and new and, most importantly, eaten a WHOLE lot of curry.
This initial planned route will take us approximately 4 and a half weeks to complete. We’ve had to leave places off we’d have loved to visit. If I’ve learnt anything planning this trip, it’s that we could have easily spent the whole 6 months in India.
Also to bear in mind that there is a second leg to our India trip, yet to be planned, which will take place in Rajasthan, the hot, sandy ‘Land of Kings’, where forts, palaces and big cities dwell. We’ll have just 2 weeks to see what they’re all about before it’s time to hop on a plane to Kathmandu, Nepal because the Himalayas aren’t going to trek themselves, y’know?
In the eternal words of our spiritual guide, Taylor Swift, So Long London… at least for six months.
